Artist have a desire to communicate. They use their art form to express feelings and ideas with colorful insight on many levels, cognitive and abstract. Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Bandleader, and ........Painter, Danny Morgan has lived in the world of creativity since he was a child. Being encouraged to draw since first grade (where he won his first award) art has remained a focal point in Danny’s school years. Music and art, music and art, his parents could hardly get him to do anything else. After highschool Danny’s successful band enabled him to go to college where he majored in art. His senior year at Eastern Kentucky University he received the “Who’s Who” in American Colleges award for art and graduated number 1 in his major. Landing a teaching job with the Cincinnati Public Schools and gallery representation on then prestigious 4th street, Morgan moved to Cincinnati and taught art, painted and played music on the weekends. A summer music job in Colorado led Danny to music full time and painting took a back seat. Morgan’s move to Florida re-energized his painting. The Matsumoto Gallery sold Danny’s representational paintings and prints and his work found it’s way into collections all over the world. Currently focusing on his abstract painting Danny is adding new and colorful pieces to his body of work. |
